Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History
Saturday, May 16th, 2009 | 4 p.m. & 8 p.m.
St. Mary's Academy | 1615 SW Fifth, Portland, Oregon
Aurora Chorus invites you to the world of courageous, audacious and determined women who made history while breaking though cultural and societal barriers. In song and spoken word, we hear the enduring echo of the voices of women who spoke their truths despite their upbringing and society's expectations.

Special guest duo, Pat Humphries and Sandy O of emma's revolution are award-winning, activist musicians who will add their uprising of truth, hope and a dash of healthy irreverence. Bold, moving, hilarious and transformative – duo Pat Humphries & Sandy O write songs that become traditions.

Included in this celebration of gutsy women will be some of our own local heroes: Gennie Nelson, founder of Sisters of The Road; Rosie Sizer, Portland Police Chief; State Representative Carolyn Tomei; Lillian Pitt, Native American artist; cultural activist Antoinette Edwards; and others.

Tickets are available at the door for $22.
